Russia's New Jazz Sensation

Pavel Skornyakov is a rising star on the international jazz scene. Here he presents his world class debut album.
As a gifted composer and musician, Pavel is a virtuoso of the alto sax. He has already forged an impressive chain of successes: as well as performing in cities across his native Russia, he has also played successful shows throughout the rest of Europe.
Now based in Moscow, Pavel’s achievements include performances at jazz clubs and festivals alongside a variety of international musicians, including: Valery Ponomarev, Anatoly Kroll, Daniil Kramer, Igor Butman, Yakov Okun, Scott Hamilton, Mark Turner, Sharon Clark and many more.
On this fine album the Pavel Skornyakov Quartet plays music written by Pavel, and Pavel channels his deepest passion and emotions to infuse his music with a unique sound.

Thank Yous:
When I wrote these tunes, I never thought that one day I would record them on an album, doing it out of a pure need to compose music. But through the will of God, it happened! I would like to thank all the people who made it possible. First, I’d like to thank my parents Alexander and Taisiya, my wife Irina and my two sons Alexander and Luka for their unconditional love and continuous support. I’d like to thank all my friends and close ones from whom I learned a lot, especially: Jalil Mukhametshin, Oleg Yangurov, Igor Trekusov. And last but not least, I’d like to thank the wonderful musicians who I was lucky enough to play with on this record: Martin Zenker, Paul Kirby and Alexander Zinger.
Kind regards,
Pasha
